Day 1

Arrival to Diego Suarez

On arrival, a driver will be waiting to give you a warm welcome. Once you’ve left your luggage at the hotel, you’ll be able to make the most of your stay in Madagascar. Diego’s three bays offer you the opportunity to explore laterite trails and spectacularly colorful landscapes. To the east of Diego Suarez, where the waves are rolling, discover Sakalava Bay, a renowned spot for kite surfing and windsurfing, offering thrills to enthusiasts. The white-sand beaches of Baie des Dunes and Baie des Pigeons, with their crystal-clear waters ideal for swimming, invite you to relax and take part in a variety of activities. Day 2

Diego Suarez – Emeraude Sea – Montagne des Français

This morning, it’s time to embark on a boat trip, taking the tides into account. The Emerald Sea, a breathtaking natural treasure, bewitches travelers with its turquoise waters and deep green reflections. Under the gentle kiss of the sun, the landscape becomes a symphony of shimmering, mysterious colors. It’s a veritable paradise where you can spend the day exploring the enchanting seabed with mask and snorkel. Beyond this captivating experience, the peaceful atmosphere and the waves envelop you in a feeling of plenitude, perfect for a picnic on the beach!

In the early afternoon, return to Ramena to discover the Montagne des Français. This limestone massif, nestled in a nature reserve, is an ideal playground for climbing enthusiasts. From its peaks, prepare yourself for breathtaking panoramas over the bay of Diego-Suarez, the Indian Ocean and the majestic Cap d’Ambre. During this walk, explore the floral biodiversity in the heart of the Ramena protected area, a great opportunity to discover the flora and fauna of this red island!

Day 3

Diego Suarez – Joffreville / Montagne d’Ambre

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, drive to Joffreville, 32 kilometers south of Diego Suarez. Explore the Montagne d’Ambre and its vast 300,000-hectare national park. This volcanic region, regularly watered by abundant rainfall, is home to a magnificent flora: orchids, ficus, ferns, canarium and much more. It’s a real immersion in the heart of lush, varied vegetation that awaits you.

For wildlife enthusiasts, this park is a priceless treasure trove, home to various species of lemurs such as fulvus and crowned lemurs, as well as chameleons and a multitude of birds. Every encounter with these animals is a unique and enriching experience. After a day rich in discovery and emotion, return to the hotel to recharge your batteries and relive those magical moments.

Day 4

Joffreville – Ankarana

After a restful night’s sleep, head for the Tsingy Rouges, south-east of Diego Suarez. These remarkable geological formations have been sculpted over time by the elements. The magnificent canyon, shaped by the Frodo River, offers spectacular panoramas of red and ochre formations. In a setting reminiscent of the Wild West, discover natural treasures that change with the seasons. Heavy rains change the landscape, destroying old fairy chimneys to create new ones. It’s a sight not to be missed! After this enriching visit, you’re invited to head to Ankarana to settle into your bungalow.

Day 5

Ankarana – Iharana Bush Camp

Enjoy an adventurous morning exploring the Tsingy and caves near your unusual camp. After a vehicle transfer to the Andranomiditra massif, you’re equipped with helmets, ropes and harnesses to climb the Tsingy and plunge into the canyons, surrounded by lush vegetation. A short abseil is followed by a thrilling zip-line that drops you off at the entrance to a cave. Cross the cave along an underground river before enjoying a delicious lunch at bush camp. Afterwards, take a pirogue ride to admire the majestic Tsingy and explore the local flora and fauna. From kingfishers to ox-guard herons and drongos, every encounter is an enchantment. As the sun sets, the cliffs take on changing hues, from gray to orange and mauve, offering a striking visual spectacle. These unforgettable moments will stay with you forever!

Ankarana – Ankify – Nosy Komba

Today, you’ll head for Ankify to embark for Nosy Komba by boat. On the way, you’ll make an essential stopover in Ambanja, renowned for its cocoa plantations. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the secrets of chocolate-making. The region is also renowned for its vanilla, exotic fruits and spices such as pink berries and pepper. After this gourmet escapade, we settle comfortably into our accommodation on Nosy Komba to take full advantage of this island paradise.

Nosy Komba

Known as the island of lemurs, Nosy Komba is a magnificent little volcanic island, steeped in dense tropical forest that invites you on a journey. Explore its trails to meet red Macacos, black monkeys, Makis, giant tortoises, a variety of birds, chameleons, snakes and many other fascinating species. In addition to its biodiversity, Nosy Komba is renowned for its handicrafts such as lace, Richelieu tablecloths, shell necklaces and other objects, perfect for bringing back a souvenir from this trip to northern Madagascar.
